Specific information for Bdiscom Model AMN-750
Symptom: With low power operation – below 50 watts – the AMN-750 does not automatically tune (capacitor servo drives do operate in the manual mode and do not operate in the automatic mode). Problem: the HF-300-AFP RF generator (acting as the matching controller) has one of its control software soft switches set to enable the servo motors to start only when some DC bias is detected. In some plasma systems the plasma does not ignite until the automatic matching function starts – so, the servos will never start. Solution: Setup the software using the HF-300-AFP serial port and a PC. You may also be able to preset the matching positions to enable a plasma discharge to ignite when the RF is turned on.
